Laser safety goggles must match the specific wavelength and power of your laser source. OD rating indicates attenuation level — OD 4+ reduces beam intensity by 10,000×. Visible light transmission (VLT) affects operator visibility and comfort. Never use goggles rated for one wavelength with a different laser. Check that the goggles meet ANSI Z136.1 or EN 207/208 standards.
