BK7 and Fused Silica are ideal for applications in the visible and near-infrared spectrum. BK7 offers excellent value, while UVFS provides superior UV performance.
For deep UV and UV spectroscopy, CaF2 and MgF2 offer excellent transmission. Fused Silica (JGS1) is also suitable for UV applications down to 185nm.
ZnSe is the preferred choice for CO2 laser systems (10.6μm). Ge and Si cover the mid-wave and long-wave IR spectrum for thermal imaging applications.
Sapphire offers exceptional hardness and chemical resistance. DLC-coated ZnSe or Ge provides environmental protection for demanding conditions.
